How do I check the range of my receiver while I am fishing?
To check the range of the receiver you need to put the Tx-i Plus in auto-transmit mode see below.
AUTO-TRANSMIT RANGE TEST – Allows the user to check range and reception with the Rx Plus Mini Receiver. To activate, simply press and hold down the multi function push button on the Tx-i Plus, switch the unit on with the button still depressed, wait for the three switch on bleeps/flashes, a short pause, a further single bleep/flash and then release the button. On release of the button the unit will then pulse continuously.
RUN OVERRIDE – If a bite occurs during range testing it will be picked up instantly and it will automatically cancel the auto-transmit. To cancel normally either press the button again, switch the unit off or manually activate run override. If a range test is carried out during use, any LED mode used other than the default will have to be reset. Range will always depend on bankside obstructions, atmospheric conditions, positioning of transmitters & receiver and may vary from unit to unit. The range check facility will give a rough guide to the reception range but as conditions change constantly it should not be relied upon.

I get a two double low tones and all the lights flash on my receiver. What does it mean?
The Delkim Radio System uses digitally coded radio transmission and only alerts the user when a valid code is received by the Rx Plus Mini Receiver from one of the users own transmitters. In common with all digitally coded radio systems the receiver has to respond to all transmissions received in an attempt to find a valid code. Periodically there may be signals received which are monitored but ignored. These unwanted radio signals are counted by the receiver and if they reach a level where the battery life of the receiver may be reduced, a low two tone error warning which is repeated twice will be heard from the receiver and the LEDs will all flash for about 5 seconds. The Radio Monitor Warning is advisory only but it warns that the battery life on the Receiver may be seriously reduced. If the radio monitor warning is given, it is recommended to use the LOCAL (L) setting. The user can re-check the current situation at any time by switching the receiver off and back on again.
Back to Index
I get a single low tone out of my receiver every time I get an activation or a continuous repeating low tone from my receiver. What does it mean?
A single low tone immediately after an activation is a low battery warning for the receiver. This means the battery is low and needs changing asap. A repeating low tone is the battery fail warning. This mean the battery is flat and must be changed immediately to enable the receiver to continue working.
Back to Index
When I turn my Tx-i Plus off, then switch it back on again, it does not come on immediately. Is this a fault?
No this is not a fault. When a Tx-i Plus is turned off it sends the anti-theft signal to the receiver. This takes around 10 seconds to complete and can not be stopped. Once the 10 seconds is up and if the switch is in an on position it will start up as normal.
